I used to develop photos for police, and I used to work at a glass factory. Windshields are shatter proof by way of double lamination--flexible, but for moments only. The head will flex the windshield, the glass breaks between the two layers of plastic laminate, the head pops through a hole it makes, but at the windshield's stretching limit it bounces back trying to recollect itself into the original shape that the laminate was molded to the glass in. No material was lost in any of this process though--the head doesn't punch a head sized hole from the windshield, it punctures it at its extension. So as the windshield springs you back into your seat, the hole your head made split seconds earlier contracts back around your neck so small sometimes it's not even easy to spot... The Glass Necklace. Sometimes an accident can be so rapid that a person can actually make it further through the glass necklace. Usually petite females that don't get all hung up on as much on the steering wheel etc--so Glass Anklet, Glass Corset, or Glass-whatever this rad type fitting underwear is called specifically.  A Boxster I believe. |
