A 47-year-old man was murdered in the middle of the street, in front of his ten-year-old son, last Saturday afternoon (1st).

According to the Military Police (PM), this was the first homicide that occurred in Iturama in 2020. After the crime, two people were arrested in Jales (SP).

Images from a security camera near the scene recorded the crime. It is possible to see them when a car parked on the street and the victim's vehicle stopped just ahead. Then the victim got out of the car and talked to the driver of the other vehicle and a second boy.

Suddenly, the driver pulled out a firearm and shot the man. His son, who was waiting on the sidewalk, witnessed all the violence. The boy ran to the car and then hid behind the vehicle. The two authors fled. Also according to the PM, the victim and the perpetrators were partners in other crimes.

On the occasion, three shots hit the victim's chest, who was admitted to the emergency room with no life.

After the homicide, the PM received information that the two suspects were fleeing the state of São Paulo. That was when the São Paulo police were called and they were arrested.

Also according to the PM, both the victim and the perpetrators are known in the police environment for thefts and robberies.

The age of the detainees was not informed, nor the possible motivation of the crime, which will be investigated by the Civil Police.
