I live around here. Some guy near downtown Seattle got nabbed by deputies recently after he was caught on a metro bus' cameras stabbing another rider. Deputies then came out saying unless the victim came forward, they'd have no choice but to release the stabber. It's so fucking baffling. If it isn't homeless junkies, it's mentally insane homeless people that roam our city. I wish I could afford to move out. |

Yeah I've seen some footage of downtown Seattle and it looks disgusting. Its sad what's become of some cities there now, and here in Melbourne too, the fact that this was the world's most livable city 2 years in a row not long ago makes me laugh cos its such a shithole now |

They closed asylums because of rampant abuse, rising costs, and the development of more effective medications. If the guy really is schizophrenic, than I do feel a measure of sympathy for him. Mental illness is easy to scoff at because there are no apparent symptoms, but its like walking around all day with your own personal clique of bullies, constantly yammering at you, bringing up negative shit from your past, and never giving you a moments peace. |
