Meanwhile, in the Alakia region of Ibadan, Oyo State, an Eiye member, identified as 'Starboy', was shot to death, and then axed, by members of Aye. Reportedly, Starboy was a member of an Eiye hit squad who had killed an Aye member in the past.

Eiye and Aiye confraternities. Eiye(bird) and Aiye(Black axe) are rivals for years.

Confraternities in Nigeria are secretive student groups within Nigerian higher education that have been involved in violence and organized crime since the 1980s. The exact death toll of confraternity activities is unclear.
