That was some cockamamy fan and even more cockamamy wiring. Fans usually have painted or plasic parts, if not then exposed metal should ne earthed and fused. It seems that, unfortunately for this geezer, none of the desired safety features present!

Ive watched the video a few times trying to work out what happened. Looks like his right calf touching the metal panelling was his undoing. The fan, obviously faulty, made the guy become live. That in itself isnt an issue, as long as the guy is insulated. Looks like the second he decided it was a day for shorts, he sealed his fate. Poor fucker. |
