What part of AGONAL breathing do you not understand? Their bodies have shut down and they are already dead! Game over! Their central nervous system, which is not consciously controllable so you can breathe in your sleep and live to see the next day, is still functioning to a certain extent thus the failed attempts at inhaling.  |
