Agonal breathing is when the higher parts of the brain stop functioning and the brainstem takes over. Unfortunately it does a piss poor job of it as you can clearly see. This should not be confused with Cheyne-Stokes respirations, which are much taller, have blond hair and tend to work in finance |

As an American, it always shocks me that sometimes people in these other countries don’t run over and do something to try to help, or comfort, or stop the bleeding etc.
