A middle-aged man, Obiozor Sunday Nwaka, allegedly set his wife, Chioma Nwaka, ablaze after a dispute.

Reportedly, Chioma, who had six children, had returned home during the night when she was accused by her husband of having an adulterous relationship. In the midst of this dispute, Obiozor reached out for petrol, which he poured on Chioma, before setting her ablaze.

Chioma was taken to hospital, where she died the following morning. Obiozor turned himself in to the police. When interrogated, Obiozor blamed Satan, and claimed that everything that happened was the handiwork of Satan.
