Aftermath - Mexican Police Commander and His Bodyguard Riddled With Bullets
Cajeme, Sonora state, Mexico The Director of Municipal Public Safety, J.A.N.V., and his bodyguard, J.A.G.A., were shot dead while on duty aboard patrol car 298. Hitmen fired at them with high calibre weapons. At least a hundred shell casings were found at the scene. This was the 77th homicide recorded in the municipality in March alone. Reportedly, V. had already received death threats and had been sent a funeral wreath in February. So far, no information has been released about the perpetrators. |
