Re: Aftermath of Brazilian Soccer Referee Otavio da Silva Dismembered
futbol is serious business in brazil Over there a yellow card is a warning, you have been cautioned. A red card means you are permanently suspended from the game.. and you will be fucking stabbed. Judge and executioner |

Re: Aftermath of Brazilian Soccer Referee Otavio da Silva Dismembered
I used to watch Brazilian soccer from my cable TV carrier about 20 years ago. I never got into soccer until then. The matches were very physical, lots of yellow cards, and very exciting to watch but I don't recall any physical altercations going beyond the extreme such as this. The worst I remembered was of sports news coverage of an incident where a referee gave one of the home team's players a red card and was chased out of the stadium by angry fans. You could actually see him getting in his car and getting the hell outta dodge. I've tried to find this video today but apparently this is pretty common and much more benign compared with other acts of violence in soccer matches today. |

humpty dumpty refereed a game and since then he has never been the same to a player he showed a card of red he was out of his mind and he lost his head humpty dumpty - problems i guess he expected so for protection, a weapon was elected he brought along his trusty knife to back up his calls, perhaps save his life he made a call he thought he was right but he didn't hang on to his knife very tight all of the nurses as hard as they tried couldn't but humpty back together after he died. |
