That would explain their apparently suicidal behavior: once the boat is sinking, a coastguard unit would be forced to load them on board and move them to some port in Sicily, from where they'd have way more chances to reach other parts of Italy, France, Austria, Germany or any other country where they'll be free to rape, steal and devastate.

Just as a side note, people in Morocco speak languages ranging from Spanish to Arabic, dialects of Berber, Tachelhit, and French. Italian, no problem.

Just as a side note, people in Morocco speak languages ranging from Spanish to Arabic, dialects of Berber, Tachelhit, and French; Italian, no problem. Not sure how you'd be able to discern a notable accent of Italian versus Spanish speaker, versus someone who was Spanish speaking Italian and everywhere in between. That area of the world is a melting pot in every sense of the metaphor. I think we'll let this be and just pay attention to the fact nobody on the boat did anything. And we're all ok with that apparently. I'll be over in the corner drinking heavily to the right, the party's over to the left.
