I remember that shit from 1975. I was a kid sucking in the 70's, the evening news would come on and you would see human waves of Orientals rushing a USA plane trying to get out of Vietnam. I remember how they described one lady hanging on the rear ladder after the plane took off, she couldn't hold on and they couldn't pull the ladder up, she fell off and waved goodbye as she fell to her death. The next night it would be sailors pushing multi million dollar aircraft into the ocean to make room for more Vietnamese landing helicopters on a carrier deck.
