Re: Adolescent Jumps in Swimming Pool and then Realized He Can't Swim and Drowns
It always surprises me that people don’t know how to swim but go into water! Kudos to my parents for teaching me as a toddler. Even the “dog paddle” seems like it would be innate.

Re: Adolescent Jumps in Swimming Pool and then Realized He Can't Swim and Drowns
I was in the shallow end of a public pool with my son who was a toddler at the time and saw this same thing happen. Lucky for the kid that was struggling I was there. I got my son out and swam over there and got him to the edge. The kid puked a couple times but he was just shook up afterwards.

The little kids definitely saw him and even looked to be trying to get the tube ring thing. Looks like they are telling the adult right at the end. Poor kids. Terrible situation. |

Perhaps if they weren't blaring that god awful music someone would have heard his flailing around in the water. Crazy he would go in the deep end if he couldn't swim.

that was kind of creepy how that relaxing pan pipe music was playing, all the while he was drowning, alone and unnoticed. |
