Re: Abusing the Dead
I'm trying to figure out a way to be clear without sounding like a dickhead. There aren't a lot of mods, even though two new ones were added a few months ago. With them needing to post new content, answering PM's, going through all the things people report, going through threads to make sure there aren't people trolling outside the WC, going through threads to make sure people aren't posting porn/animal cruelty and so on - it makes it a PITA for them to constantly check for reposts when the person posting the thread can easily check for it. There's so many different sections to this site and it's a lot of content for the mods to look over. If everyone was posting reposts, there'd be no reason to come here. |

Re: Abusing the Dead
Sometimes this section has a lot going on and then sometimes it's just a couple new vids a day. When the cartels and middle east are booming - this area is great to keep on top of. Depending on exactly what you like - there's the car crash, street fights, plane crash, area and it has great videos, too. I think you're doing fine, some people here are just really picky. If you're posting new content - then they can just STFU. |

Re: Abusing the Dead
I have gone back and reviewed all of the deleted reposts to see what sort of abuse you received. The majority of it came from one or two users and, in fairness, they were mostly complaining about you reposting shit that was so recent it was still on the front page of the section when you made your post. Man, no one expects you to spend hours wrestling with the search engine or cycle through fifty pages looking for reposts. But you really should at least make the effort to check the first page or two of the section to ensure that it isn't a recent repost. Cool? We sure as hell don't want to discourage content posters. I'm sorry that people jumped up in your ass for making reposts; like I said, it was mainly because your reposts were extremely recent. To be honest, I'd much rather have to delete a repost or two than have no one posting shit at all. But obviously, the best case scenario would be conscientious posting, as K9Grip has suggested several times now. I appreciate you making topical posts. It is a (small) pain in the ass to have to dump the occasional repost, but it isn't the end of the world. I spend more effort flipping records on my turntable. And for the the rest of you, if you see a post that you KNOW is a repost, please press the Report button to alert a Mod so we can check the thread and dump as necessary. Far preferable to hurling abuse at a well-meaning poster who is still learning the ropes. All that's going to do is scare off a prospective poster. Just report and move along-no need to ruin the poor guy's day just for making an unintended repost. |

Re: Abusing the Dead
I for one appreciate ReportTHIS's posts.. Its so sad to check and there are no new vids and to see new ones brighten up my day. Reposts is not a big problem as I have short term memory anyways, thanks!
