94-Year-Old Woman Was Crushed by Bus
An elderly woman died after being run over by a bus, in the early afternoon of this Monday (5), in Catete, in the south zone of Rio. Witnesses said the bus driver did not stop to render assistance. “Everyone was screaming, but he sped up and drove away anyway. He ran away,” said the elderly woman’s neighbor. At around 5pm, the driver showed up to give a statement. According to witnesses, A.d.S.S., 94, was about to cross the street when she was hit by a 422 bus at around 12:30 pm. The crash site is a bus stop. Around 17:00, the body was still at the scene, and the expertise had not been carried out. It was eventually taken to the Legal Medical Institute at 6pm. |

If I’m reading the post correctly, her body was left there for 5 hours before anyone came to clean up the scene?! Awful.
