Indonesia, Last Sunday at the sanctioned 2026 Tidar Drag Race Open Tournament Regional Championship racer Tian Ngantung from the Pangeran 05 McJoe team was driving a Honda Jazz in the Free For All class.

After crossing the finish line normally, the vehicle veered wildly out of control inside a 100-meter braking zone slamming into several spectators.

All 8 victims who lost their lives were adults or elderly individuals. This group included a roadside vendor (Nilawati Mokodongan) who was hit while serving food next to the track.

While no children died, the 9 injured survivors include young children aged 6 and 8 years old who are currently hospitalized with trauma.

Driver Tian Ngantung, who also suffered serious physical injuries during the crash, has been interrogated by authorities. The North Sulawesi Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Roycke Harry Langie, explicitly declared that Tian Ngantung holds a high probability of being formally processed as a criminal suspect for severe negligence.

Lucky Sugeha, the chairman of the drag race organizing committee, publicly extended condolences and stated that the organization is legally bound to assume full responsibility for all medical costs of the hospitalized victims.

I knew an old Jew who had 15 million USD in his pocket from selling his small semiconductor fab/cleanroom around 1998. He was racing in a Honda Del Sol at a track event, hit a barrier not wearing a seat belt and died. Strange guy, trusted nobody, maybe suicide. His family had made millions fulfilling gov.org contracts, greasing palms as middle east people do. My buddy the Vietnam 2nd Lt. artillery did all his technical work for him and made the guy millions, the old jew didn't have much talent, just cash..
