8 Dead After 14 Year Old Student Shoots Teachers After He Killed His Gramps
A 14-year-old Grade 9 student launched a dual-location shooting rampage in Thailand Friday morning, executing his grandparents, in their late 60's, at home before killing 4 teachers at Debsirin Nonthaburi School in Bang Kruai district. The tragedy, which also left more than 23 people wounded, with nine victims listed in critical condition stands as the nation's deadliest school shooting in years and has forcefully reignited the fierce political debate surrounding gun ownership laws across Southeast Asia. Patchat Yimruang, 14, shot his maternal grandparents in their residence in the neighboring Bang Bua Thong district around 8 AM before travelling to school where around 10 AM he slipped onto campus undetected, he drew a CZ-75 9mm semi-automatic pistol, which was legally registered to his grandfather, and opened fire near the lower-level classrooms where seventh to ninth graders study. Footage from inside the classrooms captured frightened students crouching under desks and chairs as heavy, rhythmic gunfire echoed from the corridors above them. Emergency responders arriving at the scene treated numerous victims suffering from severe gunshot wounds to the back, chest, and arms. Police reported that the gunman fired at least 26 rounds with extreme, pinpoint accuracy, intentionally targeting vital body areas. At 10:30 a.m., as authorities and tactical units closed in, the shooter turned the weapon on himself in an upper-floor room. Paramedics administered emergency CPR on-site, but he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at a nearby hospital. Officials noted he still possessed over 30 rounds of live ammunition when his body was recovered. School administrators reported that Yimruang had no prior history of violent behavior, though he had recently posted a photograph of his grandfather's handgun to a private social media profile. While a definitive manifesto has not been recovered, a forensic digital investigation led by the national police began yielding early answers. Investigators seized nine electronic devices and computers from the boy's bedroom. Cyber units revealed that Yimruang had extensively searched for and viewed websites dedicated to international mass shootings in the weeks leading up to the attack. |

You'd wish they'd just shoot themselves before hand, rather than go on rampages killing innocent people and ruining lives. Or at least target pedos / whatever. Not schools, it's so pathetically weak minded. Losers. |

And, of course, when the shooter is faced with an armed defender, he offs himself. Too bad the school didn't have one on staff instead of pandering to the guns-are-evil lunatics.

Just because the whole world knows how pathetic and weak you are, doesn't give you the right to go and shoot it up. He will be remembered for being the weak little asshole that he was. What a "legacy". Hope his grave gets pissed on. |

Re: 8 Dead After 14 Year Old Student Shoots Teachers After He Killed His Gramps
The Thailand Firearms, Ammunition, Explosives and Fireworks Act heavily regulates who can buy a gun but remains virtually silent on how owners must store them once inside the home. There is no legal penalty or inspection system regarding gun lockers or safes. Safely storing weapons has become a prominent issue following a tragic school shooting in August 2026 outside of Bangkok. In that case, a 14-year-old shooter retrieved a legally registered 9mm pistol from his grandfather's bedroom wardrobe. While the gun was technically placed in a locked wardrobe rather than a specialized safe, the teen easily found the key, exposing a severe vulnerability in household custody. Thai civilians hold over 10.3 million firearms, making Thailand the largest gun-owning nation in Southeast Asia. Out of the estimated 10.3 million civilian firearms, roughly 4.1 million are unregistered black-market weapons. In the U.S a study revealed that 6.7 million American children live in homes where at least 1 firearm is kept both unlocked and loaded. More than 20% of gun-owning parents explicitly admit to keeping a firearm loaded and unlocked. Parents of teenagers are significantly less likely to lock up their weapons than parents of toddlers or pre-teens. Roughly 60% of owners who leave weapons unsecured cite speed of access during an emergency as their primary reason. They worry that a lock or safe will render the firearm too slow to deploy during a home invasion. Many parents believe that hiding a gun or teaching their children not to touch it is an adequate substitute for a safe. However, research shows that 53% of children in gun-owning households know exactly where their parents hide their firearms, even when parents believe it is a secret. More than half of U.S. states enforce CAP laws. These laws impose criminal liabilities on adults if a minor gains unsupervised access to an unsecured firearm. A landmark National Institute of Justice survey of convicted felons found that 74% of inmates actively avoided breaking into occupied homes specifically because they feared getting shot by the homeowner. In contrast to countries like the United Kingdom, where burglars frequently enter occupied homes, American criminals overwhelmingly structure their break-ins to avoid encountering a resident who might be armed |

School shootings are absolutely terrible and unfortunately becoming common occurrence... Parents (Adults) need to secure their fucking weapons better and not enable them to be shit heads with the weapon |
