The part where: If you're exponentially bigger, faster, stronger, tougher and have flaming horns, you're not defenseless. Unless maybe the matador has a high-powered rifle and a good 100 yard spread, but no. If you're all those things, you're not defenseless. |

I'd go to one, for the sake of "culture" or "tradition," to witness a 1200 year old tradition. (and I really don't see it so one-sided as most people). If they dull the horns of the bull and/or injure it prior to the event, that's a little cowardly and bitched-up. But if it's a strength vs. agility w/ peak performance, I'd go once. On a side note though... it does astound me how many people come to a site for splattered brains and murdered rape victims... but the biggest outcry of injustice I see are about animals. That might sound callus, but if any of you were victim of a home-invasion, and the assailant decides to use his phone-a-friend lifeline to call me and ask if he should kill you, your wife, your son or your dog... Sorry partner, but you're gonna watch that dog die. |
