6 Killed, 6 Injured when Minibus Driver Crosses Train Level Crossing
Turkey, This morning the driver of a minibus bypasses the lowered arm barriers at a train level crossing. Not surprisingly a freight train arrives hitting the minibus. Six workers inside the bus were killed and another 6 injured. I call this murder.  |

Not sure if really murder, that black car also jumped the gates before the bus. Probably just a result of a shitty driving culture in a broken country.

Either the driver didn’t see OR hear the train, or the driver did see it but grossly overestimated the time it would take for the train to be at that spot. When I was in either 7th or 8th grade the school bus driver drove through the lowered gates at a train crossing. Things could’ve gone very badly for a few dozen children that day. Don’t be so damn impatient, people. |
