6 Gang Members (inc. 2 Cops) Riddled with Bullets in DR After Gang Shootout
Two policemen are among the members of a gang who were killed on Tuesday night in Los Alcarrizos , during a shootout with agents from the Central Directorate of Criminal Investigations (Dicrim). The deceased identified so far are: National Police Corporal A A R T, Private S B L C and civilians E R P G (E M), J B R F (J T) and another only known as M. Preliminary information on the event indicates that the members of Dicrim were confronted on 14th Street in the Las Mercedes neighborhood by five alleged criminals, including police officers, who allegedly were members of the gang called Los 30/30. While a sixth man, whose details are unknown, died when confronting a member of the Vinicio Calventi hospital security, where he went after the deceased today were transferred to that center. The Los 30/30 gang is designated as a group dedicated to committing assaults, kidnappings, robberies and other crimes in Los Alcarrizos.  |

plot twist? Parents of some of the deceased deny that their children were members of criminal gangs. According to Elizabeth F, one of the deceased is her paraplegic son, who has not had mobility in his hands or feet for nearly 13 years. Jeffry , who was allegedly in the area with his friends “when National Police agents arrived and shot.” Mrs. Elizabeth requested that the authorities look into the true motivations of the law enforcement officers and why “they came shooting at the victims without saying a word.” Jeffry, who is 30 years old, will be unveiled at his home on 14th Street in the Las Mercedes neighborhood. Among the dead is 9-1-1 Emergency System employee Jonathan J, who was allegedly not affiliated with any criminal gang. |
