4 Guerrilla Members That Were Killed by a Joint Task Force
Paraguay, Members of the Association Armada Campesina (ACA) and officers of the Joint Task Force (FTC) fought gun battles in the town of Yby Yaú. Four members of the armed group have been killed. ACA leader, Alfredo Jara Larrea, is one of the 4 deaths.  Alfredo Jara Larrea, leader of the armed group calling itself the Armed Group Campesina. The confrontation occurred 3 weeks ago around 10.30 am in a wooded area of Yby Yaú. The operation was mounted by an intelligence operation of the FTC. Alfredo's brother Albino was killed in January. Mariano Lopez and Antonio Ovelar are 2 other members that were identified among the dead. The latter is the brother of Dominic Ovelar, member of the EPP. The identity of the fourth member is still unknown. |

Most of these "revolutionary" groups are really just criminal organizations in the drug trade and/or other forms of crime.
