30 Gunmen Shoot and Kill 9 Fishermen, Injuring at Least 4
A security camera captured the moments of terror experienced by fishermen on the northern border of Ecuador, when 30 heavily armed men arrived at one of the local ports and fired indiscriminately. The attack was executed by land and from sea. Video shows a group of criminals begin to shoot on the right side in the video, the fishermen run and some even jump into the water. While that was happening, a boat came up with more gunmen. The Interior Ministry confirmed that the attack left 9 dead and at least 4 injured. The event occurred to instill fear in the population. One of the hypotheses that the authorities handle is that this would be a fight between criminal gangs that operate in the area that is militarized as part of the state of emergency declared in that province. |
