Amen to that Doc. My mother always says to me "there, but for the grace of God, could go you". I lost a brother to a motorbike accident, and then never ever rode mine again. My brother was killed by a drunk driver, and the driver was given just 8 months in prison and then a community corrections order after that. 2 years after he got out of prison I bumped into him at a bar, I had never laid eyes on him in that time and the last time I saw him was at the court sentencing. He tried to put his hand out to shake mine and apologise for what happened - but there was just something about that moment where I felt frozen in time, smelling the alcohol on his breath, watching him try to find words or a gesture that could possibly assauge his guilt ...... and I snapped, I couldn't help it. I take some misplaced macho pride in being a man who can take care of himself in most circumstances (when forced to) - but that night I hit him so hard that I don't think my hand has ever felt the same since. In a moment of irony the police officer who attended the assault complaint - was also the first officer on the scene after my brother was struck by the drunken asshole (who was then sitting propped up against the wall with a fractured jaw). I ended up being ordered by the court to cover his medical bills, and to heap insult on top of injustice, we are still chasing him for dollar-one on a $170,000 civil suit judgement his widow and child won against him. Yet here the asshole was, able to pay for shots of tequila - avoiding the settlement he owes - whilst my family rallied around my sister in law and niece and make sure they want for nothing. Was the punch worth it ? You fucking bet it was. |

If you don't take risks when you're a teenager, I think you can't really grow up. Safety is for old ladies. A real life must be lived with some risk.

Bloody hell, thank you for sharing that, I'm so sorry for your loss, that's awful. You're a better person than I am for only giving him a beating, I would have killed that motherfucker.

Says their bodies were mutilated. But compared to other accidents we see here, where brains organs bones blood is all over the place...these kids seem mostly intact.

That's a Towner laser scraper. It holds 30 square yards of dirt when loaded. I've pulled one just like it for many many years. The tractor is a New Holland T8 front wheel assist. 250 hp. |

From what I understand, they call freshmen year 1rst grade of secondary academic level, a sophomore would be 2nd and so on
