how brave the two men in all blue. going right up to the scene with their fire extinguishers when that truck could have blown all to hell and from what i can tell, they had no gloves on and were trying to get the guy out. their hands must have gotten some serious burns. even though their attempts failed, they are what i consider as true heroes. the truck driver got his paper work i guess to write out his excuse for the accident or to write down the time of day it was or his milage so he could get paid up to the last minute or mile. not for the accident but for his lack of trying to help and apparent lack of caring, i would not have felt bad for him if after the fire, he had been the victim of a mob lynching. he would have deserved it. the ones who died immediately were lucky compared to the other guy who lived long enough to get to the hospital. i guess for being unlucky, luck must have finally smiled on the one in the hospital. to survive burns like that over 80% of ones body would be one hell of a painful trip back to life if one could call it life. (and i am not even referring to the horrible visual image they would have. that would be the lesser of the person's problems.) |
