I’d think the exsanguination while hanging upside down is less painful since they don’t spend additional time completely removing the head and not as uncomfortable since you’re not drowning in your own blood. You’d probably pass out within seconds and be dead within a minute or two.

They'd be a lot more powerful in the world if they stopped committing violence in a vain attempt to be intimidating and instead converted people through subtle manipulation. Fortunately they'll never be smart enough to realize that.
