Re: 3 Friends Record Themselves Drowning In Pond
That wasn't a last gulp of air but water. His head didn't come high enough.

LOL seeing how poorly those guys could swim, they shouldn't be anywhere near water let a lone getting in water.

Re: 3 Friends Record Themselves Drowning In Pond
I’ve seen at least 5 videos where people have recorded themselves drowning... |

Re: 3 Friends Record Themselves Drowning In Pond
My gut is telling me this video might have been faked, but on the other hand (and there's always another hand), most people are surprisingly stupid about some things that other people take for granted, and it isn't TOO hard to believe that three stupid people would get together in the same place and die from a shared ignorance, AND...realistically, it would be very easy for them to drown if they just panicked and started hyperventilating. But I'll go ahead and nominate all three of them for a Darwin Award. |

Re: 3 Friends Record Themselves Drowning In Pond
I almost drown trying to save a friend of mine who was not a good swimmer. You can’t imagine the strength of someone who is drowning. A boy who was swimming with us pulled my friend out into the middle of the pool where the floor starts it’s drop. My friend started flapping his arms and screaming, so I thought I was far enough in the shallow end, I reached out my hand thinking I could pull him towards me. The very next thing I knew, I was laying flat on the floor of the pool and he was standing on top of me (still flapping his arms and screaming). A tenant of the apartment complex we were at heard my friend screaming, jumped in and pulled him out, then pulled me back to the shallow end. I was so weak after fighting to get out from under my friend, I couldn’t just walk out of the pool, I had to be carried out. It was quite scary for me (about 10 yo at the time). This brought back memories. It was pretty stupid of these guys though. All of them barefoot wearing only swimming trunks like they all intended to get in the water. |

Re: 3 Friends Record Themselves Drowning In Pond
And that's what a drowning person does to their *friend,* let alone a stranger. All it takes is the right amount of mortal fear to reduce most people to the selfish cowardly scum that they truly are.
