3 Dead After Truck's Brakes Fail in Nigeria
Anambra State. According to police, the crash was caused when the truck developed a fault in the brakes and broke down on a bridge. The truck driver saw a tow truck towing another vehicle, and fearing his vehicle was next to be towed, he decided to continue driving without fixing the defect. The brakes failed and the truck rammed into three pedestrians walking on the bridge before colliding with a bus. Seven more were injured. The driver fled the scene.
