Ecuador. Three suspected kidnappers/extortionists were executed and cremated together with their car. The incident took place on the morning of Monday, June 3. Although there is no official information from the Police yet, it is unofficially indicated that the now deceased were lynched during an alleged kidnapping.

In addition to burning the kidnapping suspects, the population cremated the car in which they were mobilizing.

Following the violent incident, police officers went to the site to lift the bodies of the three men who apparently were from the province of Los Rios.

Traders and farmers claim to be tired of kidnapping and extortion. They say they have been “subdued” by criminal gangs who have even, apparently, even owned the lands of the farmworkers.
