I assume that the video is from a surveillance camera since there is no movement/change of angle during the entire time. What can the Chicago police do even if they find out who released it? I doubt that any law was broken. If the person responsible is from the security company, I guess he/she could be fired, but that's probably about all.

It's probably video from one of the thousands of blue light cameras that we have installed all over the city. Assuming it's a city employee who did it, they'll be looking at termination of employment, and possibly prosecution for leaking confidential info, possessing city property, and whatever else the city can dream up.

I don't know how this could have perceivably happened. With some of the strictest gun laws in America, there shouldn't be any criminals in Chicago that can get their hands on guns.
