The wife might have lied to the affair partner. It happens a lot like that so I wouldn't be too quick to say he got what he deserved. But if he did then he learned a valuable lesson in the last seconds of his life the hard way.

I would be inclined to agree with you, seeing as he didn't seem to know what was going on and he looked to be thinking like he thought he was being robbed by showing he was unarmed... at least that's what I think, anyway.
