Re: 2012 Shooting of Milton Hall
Read my thesis. I explain it all. Excessive? Cowardly? When was the last time you tried to reason with a nut holding a Buck knife? You really need to get beyond your gut hatred of police and look at the big picture. It makes you seem younger than you are and dumb...which you are absolutely not.

Re: 2012 Shooting of Milton Hall
Oh for God's sake...please tell me that you're kidding. Shoot him in the hand? I've only seen that done once...by a police sniper at about thirty yards with a five thousand dollar custom sniper rifle at a static bad guy who was seated in a chair. Are you kidding? Handguns at five to seven yards, nervous officers, sweaty hands, a moving bad guy, and who's waving his arms around? You've been watching way too many Gene Autry and John Wayne movies...that's an almost impossible shot that would be more luck than skill. I can just see explaining that shot to a shooting review board and internal affairs...that'd go over like a fart in church. Come on guys...get real. |

Re: 2012 Shooting of Milton Hall
Bite your tongue and God forbid a fire hose! And on video! We would never hear the end of it, interspersed with old black and white movies of pfire hoses spraying black civil rights protesters in the 1960's. Luckily it was just bullets... |

Re: 2012 Shooting of Milton Hall
Don't feel sorry for the "backwards" cops, they eat donuts / write speeding tickets for 20 years and then retire at full pay. Also, blacks measured IQ is 15 points below average (85), so chances are the 'perp' was a bit backwards also. This video shows what happens when 1 slow individual meets 8 backwards individuals with superior firepower. |

Re: 2012 Shooting of Milton Hall
Don't laugh...but that's exactly why fire departments won't allow police to use fire hoses on bad guys today...even if it's a great tactical idea. It's too bad the PC backlash has been so strong on that...fire hoses make great less lethal weapons...perhaps too good if you know what I mean. You can stop an unruly crowd with a fire hose in minutes and the rioters usually just drip away and go home. I think big city police departments should have at least one fully equipped and modified armored fire truck with a big water monitor to use in riots and crowd dispersal. Like the newer style military fire trucks...except painted black and white or blue. Sometimes the old ways are better. But you're correct...a fire hose on a Black guy would have been political suicide. |

Re: 2012 Shooting of Milton Hall
This can happen to everybody in the US i guess. Think you just got divorced and drank to much and you feel annoyed by the police, then you maybe "walk towards" them, while he didnt he just made 2 steps to the left/right. Instead of shooting him 1 or 2 bullets in his legs, oh okay he was only black than its okay i guess |

Re: 2012 Shooting of Milton Hall
legal or not, the cops were cowards here. the guy looked like he was maybe 5'5", and he WALKED a step or two to the side, not towards the cops. was he LEGALLY and TECHNICALLY not allowed to do that? sure. but just because the cops had the legal/technical option to fire, doesn't mean it was a decision that i can support, every time, no questions asked. i'll tell you this, i'm not even a tough guy, but if i had a kevlar vest on and kevlar gloves, a cocked and loaded pistol in my hand, a belt with a taser/cuffs/pepper spray on it, and there were 6-8 guys next to me with the same armament, i wouldn't have pissed my pants due to that guy's actions in the video, period. at the time he was shot it is a very big stretch to say he was an ACTUAL "threat". technically, yes, he had a little knife and resisted arrest, but in the context of that video clip, the cops fucked up. i really don't feel like i have a "gut hatred of cops", its just that i never have been one, so i am free to observe their actions in an unbiased manner. i understand they have to, and should, use deadly force quite often. but in this case they did not have to, and i'm calling them on it. |

Re: 2012 Shooting of Milton Hall
Yes...it can happen to anyone in the US...so stay away. If you're stupid enough to get drunk, pull a knife, refuse to obey police, and walk toward the police holding the knife...then yes...it could happen to you. |
