20-year-old Man Douses Himself with Gasoline Before Running into a Building
A 20-year-old man committed suicide by self-immolation in the central square of Taraz, Kazakhstan. The incident occurred yesterday morning around 10:30. Because of extensive burns he received (almost 100% of his body) the guy died in the city hospital. Before the act, he recorded a video message in which he said that it's all the fault of the police, who allegedly planted drugs on him and this is the only way out for him. He accuses them of putting 200 grams in his pockets when he left social security to get a job. In the video he douses himself with gasoline and runs screaming into a building of the "Nur Otan" Democratic People's Party trying to burn the building down. But bystanders used jackets to put the flames out and eventually one used a fire extinguisher so no real damage was done to the interior of the building. The matter is under the control of the General Prosecutor's Office. |
