On Wednesday (25) the Federal Highway Police received information that 2 teenagers had thrown themselves from the International Friendship Bridge.

Crew of the Paraguayan Navy searched the Paraná River. The Fire Department was also called to look for the bodies on the Brazilian side of the river.

According to initial information, the 2 girls were Paraguayan and jumped off the bridge on the side belonging to the neighboring country.

There is a suspicion that they have left school because near the bridge 2 backpacks were found. There was a note, stating that the young people were involved in a loving relationship.

The father (79) of one of the teens, who was just 15 years old, believes his daughter decided to kill herself because of the difficult financial situation that crossed the family and that they couldn't buy luxury goods anymore.

"Before, everything was fine, I had a great job, we owned animals, owned a resort and we always had lots of money but then I had to sell everything because I got 79 years-old," he said.

He reported that he received $ 70,000 with the sale of the property and that money was later stolen by an employee of him, which left him bankrupt.

"My daughter suffered a lot, because I could not buy things as before."

The father of the other teen (16) who committed suicide explained that his "daughter" could not bear the weight of the economic crisis that befell the family.

The search continues for the bodies of two young women. A Navy team is coordinating the work.

The girls were Paraguayan. The father of one of the teens said in an interview with local media, his daughter left for school at 7:15, but received a call from the school an hour later stating that the girl had missed the lesson.

In the note that was found near their backpacks was written they were involved in a loving relationship.

Someone took a pic just before the jump and in another pic the two teens can be seen posing near coffins one day before the fatal jump.

It's SAD that money rules the world...it truly does. Most of use are affected by money every day...good or bad...but in the end, money usually wins causing grief, pain, misery...

Very sad. Too bad these girls didn't realize that if they loved each other, than that is all that is needed for true happiness. Money can only purchase materials which doesn't provide the same level of happiness that a connection with another person provides.
