2 Men Shot Dead
In Manaus yesterday (22nd June 2018), 2 men lost their lives. 25 year old Eduardo Santos dos Santos + 30 year old Fabson Coelho dos Santos were shot dead. A 17 year old girl was struck with shrapnel in her legs. The 2 young men, who had been friends since childhood, were shot dead in case of mistaken identity. They had been sitting in a place that's considered a drug sales point. The gunmen thought that the 2 men were drug dealers that they were after as they were wearing similar clothing. The actual men they were meant to kill had only been in that same spot minutes beforehand. Eduardo had jumped in front of Fabson to defend him but they both lost their lives. Eduardo leaves behind a wife + 2 sons. Fabson leaves behind a wife, 2 sons + a daughter. Eduardo  Fabson     |

That's the third double murder in that city in 24 hours. This was an electricity worker and a mason's helper sitting in the driveway of a home and waiting for their pay when two cars and a bike arrived. They started shooting at them straight away. 21 times actually. 7.62 and 9 mm cases were found. Each of them were at least hit eight times in their head, arms and back. Highly likely they were the victims of mistaken identity as according to some people the killers were looking for two (other) bandits. Shit happens in Brazil and then you die. |
