I know what you mean. I like to think it's usually a fitting punishment, but if they weren't actually guilty, that's awful.

I found the full history.

"Good" and "peacefull" people of Jalapa, Puebla, killed and burned 2 people that confused with kindnappers. A newspapper from there described the event like, an angry bunch of people punch and hit with machetes, for then set on fire both of them. They was brothers, both was studing on the university of Tulancingo and working for the company "Marketing estrategico del Distrito Federal". Their names was Rey David and José Abraham Copado Molina. No one was arrest until now.

In less words, they probably was innocent.

The two young men lynched yesterday in the town of Ajalpan, were identified as brothers Joseph Abraham and King David Copas Molina, 25 and 35 years respectively, originating in Tulancingo, Hidalgo and those engaged in conducting surveys for the company Marketing Research & Services SA de CV, based in Mexico City , Mexico according to the Forensic Service (Semefo) in Tehuacan.
