Re: 2 Girls and One Very Lucky Guy
I thought the red mist between her legs might be camera trace images because she flips so fast, but it looks like blood. If you stop frame it while she is airborne, her spine and head seem bent backwards 90+ degrees from her legs. She almost looks like that race track safety worker with the fire extinguisher shredded by the race car in South Africa in 1977.

Re: 2 Girls and One Very Lucky Guy
Wow, i'll bet they didn't survive the impact! For them to be thrown with such a force, the force must first be imposed upon them (Momentum before = momentum after, and since this is inelastic, energy before = energy after - largely) and since the time of contact is low, how long they spend against the car before flying away (because the car didn't crumple against the humans, only against the wall), the average force exerted on them would have been massive. They have to hit the car in order to start moving - so if you watch carefully their heads/torsos hit the car VERY hard before they are thrown (Ea = Er, the action force is equal to the reaction force). So, although they seemed to get a soft landing across the dirt, it definitely wasn't a soft take off. In my opinion = DEAD. |

Re: 2 Girls and One Very Lucky Guy
There are vids on this site where people hit by cars are thrown, get up and walk it off. These 2 girls are hit hard. The one that flips is propelled by her head hitting the hood and/or windshield. I am not an RKI on people / car collisions, but if I had to bet money, I would wager sommersalt girl died or was in a coma and the other girl got better...

Re: 2 Girls and One Very Lucky Guy
Yes if you watch the points of impact, the one who went through the metal mesh wall (What's that stuff called again?) was actually only hit on the hip and upper back, however, if we take the human body into consideration 1) At those speeds, when her momentum was practically negative in relation to the car, the force on her hips must have been bone shattering 2) The force and pressure placed on her upper back as it hits the car wouldn't surprise me to cause a shattered scapula, and the force and abrupt twist of the spine would probably cause minor damage also 3) She managed to push over a wire fence which would no doubt be weighted - although the fact that the fence falls slowly would decrease the force (Like an airbag, but harder) although the fact she hits the fence with such a magnitude means that her entire body is compressed, possibly causing major to minor bone and or joint damage. So if she's not dead...It's not a good life. |
