I can pretty much guarantee this video will be a part of future training classes on why NOT to wait so long to shoot a non-compliant armed suspect. These officers should have dropped the guy long before the first shots were fired.

Wow. Thise cops definitely definitely have superior temperment and self control compared to many MANY other American cops. This video clearly shows an attempt to disarm the suspect and help him. They did not want to kill him. They wanted to help him. The suspect would not allow help. No choice.

They clearly didn't want to have to kill the guy. He may have been on drugs, mentally ill, or only temporarily suicidal. They gave him as much room and time as they could. Not to mention they probably don't want to have to live with the guilt of killing someone. Whacko or not, killing someone still fucks you up. |
