Perhaps his intention was to protect his hearing; multiple gunshots in an enclosed space of that size can easily cause significant permanent hearing loss. I was in a car one time with a person who should've never been allowed a slingshot, let alone an actual gun, and he "accidentally" fired three rounds through the floorboard and a fourth through his foot with a Zastava M70 that he claimed wasn't loaded. I couldn't hear anything for like a week. Being a bus bandit isn't any excuse to ignore proper work safety habits! ...by the by, the foot-shooting idiot is now an aerospace engineer who works for Thrush Aircraft, tasked with incremental improvements to the venerable Ayres Thrush. |
