Brazil. A routine family trip turned into a deadly shootout on Sunday afternoon, May 24th, when an off-duty military police officer opened fire on two motorcycle bandits who ambushed his vehicle. One of the suspects was killed at the scene, while his accomplice managed to escape.

The off-duty officer was driving down a quiet, high-end residential street in Santo André, located in the ABC Paulista region of metropolitan São Paulo. He was traveling alongside his wife and family when two men on a motorcycle cane riding next to him.

The pillion rider raised a gun telling them to stop but the off-duty officer drew his weapon and fired through the vehicle's window. The officer's precision shots struck the primary gunman, causing him to collapse to the ground.

The armed assailant died on the pavement before emergency services could arrive. Authorities recovered his firearm and a collection of stolen cell phones at the scene.

The second suspect abandoned the assault, accelerated the motorcycle, and fled the neighborhood. He remains at large.

The officer and his family escaped the gun battle entirely unharmed.

The Civil Police are actively tracking the fleeing suspect using regional security camera footage. An internal affairs review has been opened, which is a standard procedure whenever an officer uses lethal force, though initial findings firmly rule the shooting as a clear case of legitimate self-defense.

The guy who got shot had two hands on his bike when he got hit according to the video.. Secondly the primary gunman was the guy who missed and fled the scene

The guy who got shot had two hands on his bike when he got hit according to the video.. Secondly the primary gunman was the guy who missed and fled the scene
