Re: 1964 Zanzibar Revolution Footage From Africa Addio
Just because someone oppressed you it doesn't mean you should do the same to them. Looking at this vid from a giants perspective (high up in a chopper) we look like little violent ants that just need to be exterminated. Start all over. Capitalism does NOT work!

Documentary from the 60's about Africa right after the Colonials left. Amazing brutality, probably not so shocking for visitors to this site, but in it's context I think it has an effect. http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...4202583442015# <embed id=VideoPlayback src=http://video.google.com/googleplayer.swf?docid=4540134202583442015&hl=en&f s=true style=width:400px;height:326px allowFullScreen=true allowScriptAccess=always type=application/x-shockwave-flash> </embed> |

Made by the same men (Gualtiero Jacopetti and Franco E. Prosperi) who made such memorable films as 'Mondo Cane' ("Dog World" in Italian) I & II, 'Goodbye Uncle Tom', and 'Women of the World'. They called themselves the "Godfathers Of Mondo". Which they made a doc about as well.
