Re: 19 Year Old Student Dies in Violent Car Crash
I am from Singapore and I would absolutely loath to drive in my own country. In Australia, drivers are mostly courteous and respectful but in Singapore they are not. If you try to enter from a filter lane, people will speed up to block you off. Overtaking a vehicle can sometimes result in the vehicle that you overtook to try and overtake you as a form of one upping you. The problem is in Singapore driving is for the rich as you have to pay certificate of entitlement which cost on average 50 - 60k just so you can drive. That added to the cost of a vehicle which is another 50 k means it can cost up to $100k just for a small car. The price of petrol in Singapore is ridiculously expensive. If you are rich, you may think that the traffic rules are for plebs and developed this sense of entitlement that puts other people at risk |
