The action of the onlookers is a criminal one, according to Article 122 of the Penal Code. The penalty is two to six years if the suicide happens. The penalty can still be increased if the crime is for selfish reasons, if the victim is a child, or if it is by nature, a fragile person. Remembering that punishment by law can also be doubled. Whose Criminal Code? It would be interesting to know if they were actually charged. Having a law on the books and enforcing it are often two very different things. |
