Brazil, February 6, A 17-year-old boy named Lucas committed suicide by letting him fall backwards from a pedestrian overpass. Lucas was in doubt whether or not he would jump but the people who were nearby began to encourage him.

The situation was almost under control until onlookers shouted 'jump, jump and you don't have the courage', and at that moment the boy threw himself," said a firefighter who was working to prevent him from killing himself.

The action of the onlookers is a criminal one, according to Article 122 of the Penal Code. The penalty is two to six years if the suicide happens.

The penalty can still be increased if the crime is for selfish reasons, if the victim is a child, or if it is by nature, a fragile person. Remembering that punishment by law can also be doubled.

Before killing himself, Lucas wrote a letter outlining the reasons for killing himself: To my friends and my father.

Jesus shit! With a law like that, if someone climbs a bridge in Brazil I would start running as far away as possible. The need for such a law shows the lower classes in Brazil are swarthy inbred morons who encourage people to jump, and they are also too stupid to know the law... this can't be the same suicide. in this video, the jumper walks to position and jumps with hardly any hesitation. in the other video(s), he pauses for a long time before jumping. also, in this video it is clearly mid day,whereas in the other(s),it is dawn or dusk, and perhaps a bit overcast
