This situation is not one of them. The video clearly shows the guy had a gun, and actually pulled it out in the struggle. He also can be heard saying "I can't go to jail" implying that he might shoot his way out of the situation. The police were entirely justified in using lethal force in this case. No question about it at all.

It's EXTREMELY important that we hold all people accountable for their actions. It doesn't matter if someone is a career criminal, first time criminal, or career police officer. The law is the law. Its important that we don't allow people to get away with crimes they commit, and that includes police. We have to look at every situation and decide based on the evidence we have.
Police are not always guilty, and they are not always innocent. Simply wearing a badge is no guarantee of anything, and can't be used to justify any crimes. Cops are humans, and are susceptible to all the same mistakes and crimes that all other humans are susceptible to. Anyone that disagrees with me is a fucking loser.
