11 Killed, 12 Injured After Hitmen Stormed a Soccer Game
Mexico, An afternoon that was passing between sports and family time ended in tragedy last Sunday when an armed group stormed a local soccer field and opened fire on players and attendees. According to information confirmed by the Municipal Government, the attack occurred around 5:00 p.m., during an amateur soccer match. The attack resulted in a death toll of 11 people and 12 more injured, several of them serious. Municipal authorities reported that ten people died at the scene, while one more victim died after being transported to a regional hospital. The injured remain under medical care at various health centers in the municipality and surrounding areas. The Municipal Public Security Directorate, in coordination with the National Guard , the Secretariat of National Defense (SEDENA) and the State Public Security Forces, deployed an operation on rural roads and access points but the attackers managed to escape. However last Wednesday the arrest of at least 3 alleged perpetrators of the massacre took place. The investigations are still ongoing in the area under the influence of a criminal organization headed by José Antonio Yépez Ortiz, alias El Marro, who was arrested in 2020 and remains in the Altiplano maximum-security prison. According to initial investigations, the attack was carried out by a group belonging to the Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel (CSRL). Lines of investigation points shows the involvement of Moisés Soto Bermúdez, who heads the 'Los Marros' hit squad. In December, the Trump Administration announced sanctions against El Marro, whom they said was still running the group from prison. The Cártel de Santa Rosa de Lima has been accused by authorities of stealing fuel from Pemex pipelines and other crimes such as extortion and kidnapping. Specific details regarding the number of people arrested, their possible involvement, and the corresponding charges will be released as legal time and stages allow, that is, once the individuals are formally charged, in order not to jeopardize the investigations or violate due process. According to initial investigations by federal authorities, the attack stems from a conflict between the CSRL and the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG). Moisés Soto Bermúdez: Identified as the head of hitmen for the group known as “Los Marros” (a faction that pays tribute to the cartel's founder, José Antonio Yépez Ortiz). Soto Bermúdez is believed to be responsible not only for carrying out the massacre but also for controlling extortion of farmers and drug distribution in Irapuato. Mario Eleazar Lara Belman, alias “El Negro” or “El Camorro”: Alleged high-ranking leader and Soto Bermúdez's direct superior. He is considered one of the main instigators of violence in the Irapuato-Salamanca-Celaya triangle and has outstanding arrest warrants for aggravated homicide, kidnapping, and forced disappearance. Both Soto Bermúdez and Lara Belman have been designated as priority targets for federal forces. Military and civilian intelligence are currently intensifying search efforts to locate him, understanding that his capture is vital to curbing the escalating violence that has kept the perception of insecurity at critical levels in the state. At least five of the deceased who have been identified belong to a private security company linked to the CJNG. According to testimonies gathered in the local press, two pickup trucks carrying armed men stormed into the soccer fields shortly after 5:00 p.m., when dozens of people were present. The gunmen got out of at least one of the vehicles and opened fire on the crowd. The area has been experiencing a wave of violence for years, fueled by drug dealing, primarily methamphetamine and marijuana and fuel theft. In recent months, murders in the state have decreased by 41% since Claudia Sheinbaum took office, but the violence remains a latent threat, as illustrated by massacres like this one. |

Why open up shooting at the crowd!?! Looking for a bunch of specific people or just terrorizing the general population!?! Scum sucking cartels. |

Sad to see all that grief. However, on a positive note, the wounded guy in the last video is about to get a blowjob. Seriously though, the cries... And some of them are dressed practically the same, with cargo-like pants, black shirts and rangers, I guess they're from the security company. It sucks to be shot just because you're attending the same match as them... |

Never get shot or injured in countries like these. You will end up getting moved around by people trying to “help”
