1 Dead, 5 Injured After Head-on Collision Between Two Pick-up Trucks
A 60-year-old driver died after a head-on collision between two pickup trucks, late Sunday morning in Brazil. Five other people were injured. According to the Fire Department, a truck, where there was only one occupant, was trying to overtake, in a prohibited place, when it collided head-on with the other, which was coming in the opposite direction. After the crash, the truck driver who was in the correct lane got stuck to the cabin and died. There were also three women and another man in the vehicle, who were taken to the Hospital. The driver who attempted the prohibited overtaking was polytraumatized, with head trauma and had to be immobilized and taken to the Emergency Care Unit. Due to not knowing the names of the others involved, it was not possible to check their health status.  |

Maybe drunk. The "relaxed" state of the drunks seems to allow them to survive. It's fucked up, but yeah, your point's def spot on.
