1 Biker Dead, 4 People Taken to Hospital After Car Flips Over
Singapore, A motorcyclist was killed and four other people, including a one-year-old infant, were taken to hospital after a car flipped over onto the opposite lane on Monday evening (Aug 7). The 32-year-old male driver of the car was arrested for causing death by a negligent act. The driver of the car was trying to avoid another vehicle when his car hit a traffic light and overturned. Police said they were alerted to an accident involving a car, a lorry and two motorcycles at a junction around 7.30 pm. A 30-year-old male motorcyclist was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene. The other motorcyclist, a Malaysian, and a married couple in the car were taken to Hospital. The driver of the car is in his early thirties. Police said that the couple's one-year-old child who was in the car as well, was taken to the Children's Hospital. Dashcam footage shows a dark-coloured car flipping over a road divider onto the lane opposite. One motorcyclist appears to be knocked into the path of the lorry and the other motorcyclist rams into the overturned car and falls over. |

Golf clap for the motorcyclist that lived. You can tell he was braking hard to avoid the collision. I don't think he could have done any better in slowing down before the impact.

Singapore is cleanest Asian country that I have ever been to, but some of the drivers arent as bright as we would hope to be operating a vehicles  |

The guy on the very first motorcycle we see is SO LUCKY!!! He just missed being hit! At first I thought he was hit and was thrown in front of the truck but I must have seen a piece of the car being thrown instead. Crazy how fast things happen... the 2nd motorcyclist was lucky himself to have been able to slow down as much as he did before impact! Sucks to be the first guy thrown under the truck... RIP |
