Like I said, even if it's pretty damn obvious the person is going to die, just doing something as simple as trying to comfort them might make the victim feel like some at least cares.
it's okay to lie to them and tell them everything is going to be okay.

Why can't people do more than stare in these situations? I'd like to think if I was dying someone would be kind enough to hold my hand.
I wonder the same damn thing. It's sad to think that something so horrific can happen to any of us at any time and the reality is..... A person with a cell phone is more likely to film you dying than to dial 911.
