Oh FYI the Radial Artery is the one that the pulse is taken from. So you sitting at home, palpate you lateral, anterior, forearm just superior to your thumb... you feel a pulse and the artery is just underneath

I don't feel sorry for people who do this to themselves. For me, it's like feeling sorry for someone who tried playing chicken with a truck, on a motorbike, no helmet and no other body protection. I especially hate the people who do this for attention. They cut, cut, cut, not because they want to die, but because they think it's cool, or they want attention. Plenty of those examples on this forum. Call me insensitive, whatever you like, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks this.

I work in Psychiatry, and I think this too, just not many people have the guts to say it. I'd rather spend my time helping the genuinely depressed and suicidal people. When you see the people who ACTUALLY try to commit suicide, you see real pain and sadness. These people? It's not that hard to do it right, and you don't even need to google it. Go on Jeremy Kyle/Jerry Springer if you want attention, for fucks sake.
