Re: Young Cambodian Girl with a Stomach Growth
This is most likely an abdominal wall hernia also known as a ventral hernia. Weakness in the abdominal wall allows the intestines to protrude causing a visible lump. An actual tumor presenting in this manner would be quite rare.

Re: Young Cambodian Girl with a Stomach Growth
Yikes! Poor thing. Are hernias fatal? Judging from the video she seems to live in a rather poor or rural area. Hopefully she can get the treatment she needs before it threatens her life.

Poor baby. Looks to me like she has several healed incisions. Wish I could fly her out here to my hospital.

Re: Young Cambodian Girl with a Stomach Growth
What a gorgeous little girl. I hope she will be helped. Ventral hernias can be very dangerous. Either torsion (twisting of the bowel) or any direct hit to the abdomen can be serious or fatal, as there's no abdominal muscle wall, just skin.
